Making a positive difference

As a regulated gambling operator, trading since 1934, we’re committed to offering more than a variety of games and sports to bet on.  We're a licensed business and as such we acknowledge and embrace our Compliance responsibilities by continuously reviewing customers’ accounts to ensure that we meet our Social Responsibility and Anti-Money Laundering requirements.

You'll play a pivotal part in this by leading our Customer Due Diligence team in Gibraltar, living out our values as a role model for the team and supporting the wider Compliance structure in the process.

About Us

We make a huge investment in everyone, offering great career development opportunities. Our people are at the heart of everything we do, and we thrive in a fast-paced environment where we have fun, celebrate success and give you all the tools you’ll need to be your best self. It’s not just our colleagues we look after – we’ve got a responsibility to our customers too and we work hard on our ambition to promote safer gambling.

Your role in the team

As well as taking charge of your own objectives and personal development, you will drive your own team to deliver CDD strategies and objectives. This involves executing watertight CDD processes, guiding individual and team performance to deliver agreed objectives and taking swift action where there are opportunities for improvement. You’ll be responsible for making sure your team meet their full potential by managing the day-to-day tasks and resources. You’ll need to be on top of your game as you’ll be reporting progress to the CDD UK Operations manager and the rest of the senior leadership team.

What’s more, you’ll be continuously looking at ways to improve the output of your team through reviewing how you deliver processes. Your decisions and recommendations will impact the team's regulations and internal policies, focusing on a various range of data to help you analyse and report the team's operational performance as a whole. You’ll be measured on performance so you’ll really need to be right on top of results.

You'll need to be a people person, somebody who lives and exhibits positive leadership skills that cultivate a growth mindset within the team, according to business values. Not only evaluating performance, you'll support those in your team to achieve their own personal objectives. This involves regular communication, training, feedback and coaching around quality, quantity attendance and team collaboration.

Aside from your direction of the team, you'll also have the opportunity to engage with a wide range of stakeholders throughout our business, collaborating with other people leaders to share and implement feedback towards a continuous development culture of the business. You'll also work with the compliance leadership team across multiple locations.

Skills needed

We'd love to speak to somebody who is intrinsically curious with a passion for learning. Experience in the industry isn't essential, but you'll need to be able to adapt easily to a highly technical working environment, working with various back office systems across multiple brands and platforms.

If you haven't already guessed it, people skills are a must. You should have natural characteristics of confidence, ready to take accountability for your team whilst being on the same side of the business strategy. Those all-important qualities of a team leader that we're looking for include decision making, professionalism, negotiation, coaching and of course a positive attitude.

CDD or AML knowledge and experience is essential, and experience within HR or employee relations would be desirable. The role also requires responsibility over privileged and confidential information, so it would be great if you have the professional skills required to meet this requirement.

What we offer

Your 25 days holiday is topped up by 12 bank holidays and we offer you a generous pension, bonus, healthcare and life assurance as standard.  Gym discounts, and our office sports and social committee activities could be right up your street .
