Your role in the team


Our Data Management team is nothing if not ambitious. We pride ourselves on delivering operational and analytical solutions ranging from traditional batch data warehousing to low latency applications. 

As a DevOps Big Data engineer in Krakow, you’ll be working on continuous integration and continuous deployment. You’ll be writing build/test/deploy pipelines, measuring performance and working with developers to improve it. You will take care of administration of web servers, load balancing, network and Linux virtual machines, about containerisation / packaging, distributed component integration/troubleshooting (Docker), log aggregation, monitoring, and troubleshooting. You will be working in private cloud environment as well as with AWS and Google Cloud. 

You'll need to support out of hours on a rota basis, when you're up to speed and confident in your role.



Skills needed






  • Experience with real-life deployments to any of the major cloud providers (i.e. AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, Openstack)
  • Understanding of Infrastructure as a Code paradigm (experience with Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, GCP Cloud Deployment Manager is a plus)
  • 2+ years of experience in DevOps/Ops role, administration of production software environment
  • 3+ years professional experience as a software developer in any high-level language
  • Good understanding of cloud computing paradigm (distributed logging, service discovery, stateless applications, scaling, HA)
  • Experience in building pipelines for automating of applications scaffolding, testing, building, auto-scaling and integration
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes is a plus
  • Agile mindset and practice in software development process e.g. Scrum, Kanban, TDD, BDD
  • Desire to learn modern technologies for big data/analytics
