Your Role within the team

You’re role in the Financial Planning & Analysis team will collaborate with the Retail business to provide insight to help drive performance of the division. You’ll work alongside Finance colleagues in Group to ensure clear understanding of the Retail Business and ensure the Group consolidation is accurate. You’ll consistently deliver information and analysis on various aspects of Retails performance providing a clear understanding of the drivers of trended, underlying performance.  You’ll work with key members of the retail team where you’ll guide and influence where the business should focus its efforts to optimises performance and identify opportunities to drive revenue and control costs. You’ll on a day to day basis product month end accounts, post journals, balance sheet reconciliations and maintain fixed asset registers alongside presenting the financial findings internally. You’ll communicate with people across all aspects of the business from Operations to Trading.


Skills Needed

Ideally you’ll have a finance background that is ACCA, ACA/ CIMA qualified or part qualified that would like to continue with such qualifications. You’ll have a background in reporting and acting as a business partner previously. You’ll have communicated across senior stakeholders and manage many changing deadlines and timelines. You’ll need to have demonstrable experience for timely and accurate reporting. You’ll have handled large data sets and have experiences in ‘telling the story’ from the data. Experience in  JDE would be beneficial but not essential as we do recognise talent that can pick systems up quickly.
