Job description

William Hill US is seeking a competent and dynamic Head of Responsible Gaming to assist in ensuring Responsible Gaming requirements and measures are met by the company, its employees and operating properties; organize, communicate, and coordinate internal and external Responsible Gaming campaigns; prepare, facilitate and distribute program training materials to company employees and properties; evaluate quarterly and annual audit reports/submissions; ensure responsible gaming compliance with regulatory requirements in various jurisdictions; support internal business clients with compliance of applicable regulations regarding responsible gaming; and maintenance of responsible gaming application data. The goal will be to develop and facilitate an effective management of Responsible Gaming programs according to enterprise standards.
Job Description:
  • Support the product vision set forth by the product department catering for cutting edge responsible gaming solutions, as well as the strategy established in the Payment and Fraud departments
  • Evaluate and coordinate training of staff in gambling addiction behavior
  • Together with the marketing department establish communication guidelines and secure that all player communications made through Customer Support, Marketing- and the VIP teams (and direct marketing channels) abide by these guidelines
  • Establish the relevant areas of focus and produce a project plan on a yearly basis focused on positioning the company as the leading operator in the responsible gaming area
  • Monitor and analyze existing and new markets from a compliance/responsible gaming perspective, keeping the company ahead of the competition through innovative and relevant actions and product improvements
  • Continuously update the company’s Gaming website with relevant and transparent content
  • Ensure compliance and implementation of Responsible Gaming Program policies and procedures
  • Maintain and track the Responsible Gaming application annual audits, verifying data findings and/or exceptions, recommend process enhancements to existing system as needed
  • Build and promote positive relationships within the enterprise, external partners, and stakeholders
  • Maintain highest degree of confidentiality for any Responsible Gaming Program related data and info
  • Maintain a mature and respectful attitude in the work environment and as a William Hill representative

Minimum Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience required
  • 3+ years of regulatory, legal, accounting, audit and/or compliance related leadership experience required
  • Experience serving in a management capacity which includes demonstrated leadership, knowledge of and familiarity of the gaming industry in key operational areas, familiarity with all associated federal, state, local laws/regulations, and company mandated policies/practices related to compliance 
  • Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts
  • Strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills
  • Must be tech savvy and have current working knowledge of Microsoft Office products 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills; detail oriented and efficient
