Job description

William Hill, the leading race and sportsbook operator in the US is expanding its Technology team here in Las Vegas to help the organization scale out into new markets. As our Infrastructure Architect, you will report to our Director of IT and Cybersecurity and will be responsible to work with leaders across the business to expand infrastructure capabilities, improve efficiencies, and streamline operations.


What You Will Do…

  • Manage the configuration and deployment of technical projects and core infrastructure
  • Determine technical requirements for infrastructure delivery and maintenance
  • Create plans and strategies for the implementation of infrastructure solutions and service sustainability  
  • Collaborate with other Technical Operation teams and IT development leaders/groups while providing key inputs and guidance for programs, projects and operations
  • Oversee a Windows, Linux and Mainframe-based server complex, various storage solutions, web application services and a significant database complex
  • Drive large scale, high impact, and complex technology initiatives
  • Mentor team leaders and team members toward foundational infrastructure best practices
  • Develop system roadmaps that ensure business and service continuity
  • Manage vendor relationships, contract negotiations, etc.
  • Ensure comprehensive disaster recovery architecture is maintained and RPO/RTO is sustainable.

What You Will Need…

  • 10+ years of experience in an enterprise environment
  • Experience leading multiple infrastructure projects in an enterprise environment
  • Have a passion for all things Infrastructure and the desire to lead an organization beyond “good enough”.
  • Work experience in a 24x7 support structure with a desire to improve service levels
  • History of driving technical organizations and motivating individuals to advance our organization’s technical footprint and services we provide our customers
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Exposure to networking, systems engineering, and application management
