Your Role Within the Team

Working together with BI colleagues and Digital Performance Marketing Team, you'll translate our data into actionable insights to direct and optimise the business’s digital marketing activities using Google Analytics along with strong SQL to manipulate, cleanse and analyse information held across the organisation’s data estate.  You’ll surface that information to stakeholders in engaging reports, Power BI dashboards, presentations, segmentations and models analysing the information to make actionable business recommendations (cost-benefit, invest-divest, forecasting, impact analysis, ROI) that optimise decisions on Digital marketing spend. You’ll be collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders (CRM, Marketing and Product) to understand their business needs and provide end-to-end solution (data gathering, analysis, deliverables and presentations), providing analysis to inform structure of testing plans (e.g. A/B tests) and a framework to measure success.


You will do this by:


• Working as part of the wider Marketing and other business units to gain a full understanding of the factors that impact our business

• Demonstrating the flexibility and focus to handle various projects at once, within both long and short time frames

• Flexing your analytical mind to leave no ambiguity or unanswered questions, to challenge the ways we do things

• Using your capability and experience in marketing analytics to bring together digital analytics and transactional data to form the complete picture of the customer journey and value

• Setting clear, visible roadmaps of deliverables, communicate these to stakeholders and deliver against them.


Skills needed

You’ll have at least 2 years’ experience in a data analyst role, preferably in Digital Marketing and be competent using Digital analytics software - Google Analytics; Adobe Analytics. You’ll have a quantitative degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science or similar and experience of working in a data driven environment.

In addition, you’ll have experience manipulating data stored in relational databases e.g. SQL; Google Big query and the ability to map business needs to data analytics projects and you’ll be comfortable working with imperfect data and be meticulous and thorough, with a healthy respect for quality and standards. In addition you’ll have good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate results to non-technical audiences
