Job description

You will be:

  • Working closely with the development teams in an agile environment to provide guidance in support of secure application development.
  • Providing guidance during project architecture and design activities, carrying out threat modeling and impact assessments to help deliver robust security controls.
  • Maintaining knowledge of current and emerging threats and actively share this knowledge with William Hill technical teams.
  • Communicating Findings/Remediation Guidance/Security Design Patterns to development teams in a concise and succinct manner.
  • Building a thorough understanding of William Hill systems and their associated security controls.
  • Continuously researching of new security controls and technologies.
  • Collaborating with the Security Architecture team and contribute to the security technology roadmap.

We expect you to have:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the field of IT security
  • Excellent English skills (written and spoken)
  • Strong background in development processes with recent experience in developing secure applications
  • Technical platform/infrastructure knowledge including AWS, MS Azure, automation/orchestration technologies
  • Working knowledge of Agile, Waterfall and other methodologies and able to flex between them.
  • Consultative and collaborative approach to dealing with stakeholders
  • Ability to work alongside tech teams including developers, testers, PMs and BAs



  • Knowledge and understanding of legislation affecting security, privacy and systems assurance and standards such as PCI-DSS, ISO 17799, 27001
  • Good working knowledge of ITIL processes and security certifications such as SABSA, CISSP, CISM, GIAC, or CEH.
