Your role in the team


Working with the Atlassian Product Owner to develop the current instance and backlog of requirements from around the business. Using your own initiative, you will be involved in work ranging from small changes to large scale product integrations. You will be responsible for revolutionising our processes by leveraging the maximum from our investment in Atlassian, delivering on requirements throughout the whole product delivery lifecycle of conceptualise, design, implement, operate and improve.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Continually evaluating new features and functions of Jira/Confluence/Crowd to leverage maximum value from the investment
  • Identifying, adopting and embedding the best practice delivery and usage of Jira/Confluence/Crowd
  • Maintaining an awareness of any shifts in market and product dynamics to ensure we retain competitive advantage from our service management tool
  • Being passionate and engaging when working with all business and Technology teams
  • Being easy to work with providing a recognised expert service always promoting a “can do” response
  • Have an expert knowledge and understanding of Jira/Confluence/Crowd to deliver imaginative and leading-edge solutions to complex process requirements
  • Having a broad understanding of key business and Technology and business process to effectively engage on and add real value to requirements gathering
  • Develop a forum for feeding back and updating on new ideas, requirements and concerns
  • Build strong working relationships with all relevant business and Technology teams
  • Ensure training and understanding is front and centre of everything delivered and being delivered
  • Discovering & exploiting all automation possibilities for both enterprise and corporate technology use-cases.
  • Researching & utilising novel methods & techniques.


Skills Needed

  • Experience of developing plugins & gadgets that extend the JIRA capabilities.
  • Responsibility of maintenance, administration, upgrade, & enhancements of integrations with other tools or plugins.
  • Excellent communicate skills to share knowledge with internal & external parties.
  • Manage multiple responsibilities with tight deadlines.
  • Experience with Atlassian products including Portfolio and Jira Service Management (Service Desk).
  • Experience creating JIRA templates, custom issues & workflows, custom forms & attributes.
  • Experience in using/extending REST Services.
  • Demonstrable experience in at least two of Java, JavaScript, Groovy, XML, JSP, & Python & should have utilized this skill set in multiple projects.
  • Knowledge of product development lifecycle
