Software Test Engineer II – Core Product, Gibraltar

You are the eyes and ears of William Hill.

As a Software Test Engineer with previous automation experience you’ll have the opportunity to work across all William Hill product areas (Sports, Gaming etc) and all geographies to develop high-quality API test cases. This will ensure adequate testing is performed on the rapid development of software within a product channel. The code you’ll design and test cases you’ll execute will continue to make us one of the most trusted brands in the industry. 

You'll use various technologies to develop high-quality test including automation, manual and non-functional (performance and security) so you’ll need technical experience in all these disciplines. You’ll write acceptance criteria alongside our talented team of Developers, BAs and Product Owners, collaborating on technical solutions and communicating your goals and results. You'll own the set up and management of data as well as the execution of tests, functionally and most importantly through automated test suites. Our team goal is to display continuous improvement, and you'll play a big part in making this happen.

We’re Agile and we release new products on a very regular basis, so we need you to have working experience of Agile concepts and development like. Scrum, Kanban, TDD and BDD. You’ll already be an expert user of automation frameworks such as REST Assured & SOAP UI, and you’ll have had exposure to performance testing (jMeter or Gatling) and security testing in previous jobs using OWASP. You will be familiar with Java and SQL.

You'll need to bring us some expertise from a degree in computer science, engineering or a comparable and relevant level of on-the job experience. As well as being technically proficient, you’ll need to use your great communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with colleagues
