What you will be doing
- Design Systems Ownership, taking complete ownership of Evoke's design system, ensuring it is comprehensive, well-documented, and consistently applied across all design projects
- Variables Component Expertise, developing and implementing variables and components within Figma, enabling flexibility, customisation, and adaptability for various use cases and screen sizes
- Collaboration, it's a core value here at evoke. You can work closely with product designers, developers, and stakeholders. You’ll understand their needs, gather feedback, and ensure the design system effectively supports their workflows, thereby fostering a culture of teamwork and shared success
- Documentation, maintaining thorough and up-to-date documentation for the design system, including guidelines, component libraries, and best practices
- Evangelism, advocate for the design system internally, educating, and empowering teams to utilise it effectively
- Mentorship, providing guidance and mentorship to designers, fostering a culture of design excellence and knowledge sharing
Who we are looking for
We are committed to responsible gambling, and we are looking for people who can support our ethos. To apply to this post, you will have:
- A wealth of professional experience in design, with a strong focus on design systems and component libraries for a national or global organisation
- Figma Mastery, Ninja Expert-level proficiency in Figma, with a deep understanding of variables and components, and their application in design systems
- Variables/Tokens Mastery, proven ability to design and implement a robust token system (colour, typography, spacing) to ensure product consistency and scalability
- Version Control (Git), experience using Git or similar version control systems to manage and track changes to design files and code. You'll also have extensive experience creating and documenting reusable UI components that adhere to design principles and accessibility standards and familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is essential for understanding the implementation of design systems and collaborating effectively with developers
