Your role in the team 

Transformation is afoot in our Global Procurement function, and we’re expanding to meet the needs of a growing and extremely dynamic business. We are innovators, game-changers and pioneers. Online continues to lead and pioneer in the digital world, Retail is bringing innovation to the betting shop experience through our Digital Shops of the Future, and we’re making great strides into multiple new international markets.

Coming into this role you will be part of a truly best in class function, you’ll be able to put your stamp on our relationships with key suppliers and look for ways to improve supplier performance and add real value.  As you’re well aware, there is so much more to do than report on and improve supplier performance - you’ll be in a position to introduce new ways of working, innovation, and to engage leaders in defining the best approach to supplier management and work with Global Procurement to drive down cost, minimize risk and improve our customer experience.

What about you?

Of course, all this is done through building great relationships. As a commercial professional, you’ll be an effective business partner and a skilful negotiator. As well as supplier management experience with a track record of significant achievement Procurement experience is key too.  You’ll bring us a proactive, tenacious approach and the desire to work with colleagues and suppliers to do the right thing.  Ideally you will be a Supplier Relationship Management or Procurement Practitioner currently.  We work at pace, we are customer focused, and we have high expectations.  You can expect autonomy in a high-profile role, which will let you push the boundaries.
