We are looking for an Agile Coach to enable our teams to work and collaborate effectively together.  You will drive collaboration with cross-functional product development teams in a fast-moving environment. 

Agile Coach at William Hill is the catalysts for driving improvement in business impact, delivery performance, and team health, using a variety of techniques including:

Continuous improvement of our product development flow and agile practices

  • Product development

  • Individual coaching

  • Mentoring

What you’ll do…

•           Grow a healthy, collaborative, continuously improving engineering culture

•           Coach and give feedback to talent, including senior leaders

•           Collaborate with the talent to spread effective ways of working across our Mission and Company

•           Coach teams and individuals facing challenges related to work collaboration

•           Actively support teams to deliver value more effectively

•           Be an advocate for modern agile software development and organizational practice

•           Teach Agile, XP, and Lean concepts, principles, and practices

•           Design and facilitate larger group sessions

•           Work from our office in Jersey City, NJ

Who you are…

•           Knowledgeable and passionate about software product development

•           Excel at facilitating, coaching, and mentoring teams and leaders  towards  rapidly delivering high impact/quality software in a sustainable fashion

•           Deep understanding of communication, group dynamics, and coaching, and are able to help teams develop trust 

•           Understanding and experience with a variety of Agile approaches, including Extreme Programming, Scrum, and Kanban

•           Adapt your approach and communication style to fit varying contexts and situational needs

•           Backbone and not afraid to raise issues

•           Inspire change and continuous improvement

•           Focused on business outcomes as much as team health 

•           Comfortable with and can help guide others to deal with situations of conflict, ambiguity, and uncertainty

•           You will need to successfully complete a background and drug screen

Whether it’s working out the odds on the winners of the Kentucky Derby or the Super Bowl, our work has a direct impact on every customer who places a bet. And putting that experience front and center of everything we do has helped us become a real betting powerhouse in the UK – and now we’re bringing that expertise to the US.


We’re using agile principles to develop a culture where we champion autonomy, creativity, and originality so that we can keep growing. We code the platform which our odds traders use to update the prices on live events. Making sure our customers have up-to-the-minute in-play chances right there and then. And we really do mean that our teams process 464 bets every single second. Our platforms have to reflect millions of real-time, In-Play sports events, so developing systems that are designed for low latency and high throughput is critical.
