Analytics and Optimization Manager, Digital

A new employer has come to NJ; William Hill Race and Sports Book!  Our Digital Department is gearing up for our expansion and as a result we are conducting a search for an Analytics and Optimization Manager, Digital.

Due to a recent Supreme Court ruling, the way has been paved for states to regulate their own sports betting.  We're already number one in Nevada, but we need your help to make sure we build a premier digital experience in New Jersey and other states across the USA. 

To be successful in this role you will be a data driven decision maker intent on improving customer experience, confident in your analytical capabilities and have a passion for sports! This is not a cookie cutter role, as you’ll be designing new processes that need to stand the test of time.  You will be reliant on – and need to influence – multiple teams across multiple locations.

You will be responsible for embedding analytics and optimization in our digital business. This is a step change for William Hill – both in terms of technology and cultural adoption of a data driven approach in everything we do.  As an Analytics and Optimization Manager, you will be working closely with our teams - Digital Sportsbook and Gaming Operations, Payments, Product, Technology and Marketing to:

What You Will Be Doing:

Define our Analytics and Optimization strategy and how it is embedded in the business and what technology choices we make.

Own customer journey optimization testing and research to deliver business value through embedding analytics in UX, product development and marketing delivery roadmaps.

Set optimization targets and define critical conversion KPI metrics; regularly reporting against these KPIs to senior stakeholders.

Work closely with our external technology suppliers and hold them accountable for performance.

Align US analytics strategy with other regional William Hill digital businesses, share learnings and best practices across locations.

The role reports to the Director of Operations and is based in Hoboken, New Jersey.

What You Will Need: 

At least 3+ years-experience in conversion rate or digital product optimization

Experience within online/digital gambling is a significant advantage but if not, general e-commerce or advertising experience, required

Thorough understanding of B2C online/digital marketing, analytics and optimization is essential

Excellent knowledge of Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics

Previous experience with optimization testing and research tools like Google Experiments or Adobe Target, required

Excellent communication and presentation skills, and an ability to influence at all levels and across multiple teams

Collaborative working style

Highly motivated with the ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment

A well-organized individual, able to prioritize, multi-task and deliver work to deadlines
