Job description

The Assistant General Counsel reports to the General Counsel and is responsible for supporting the General Counsel in meeting departmental objectives and ensuring maximum protection of the Company's legal rights.  This position provides legal counsel to the various business clients in areas that may include, but are not limited to: gaming and regulatory matters, contracts, intellectual property, and employment matters. The Assistant General Counsel will oversee special projects, as assigned, from conception to completion. This position requires travel to locations associated with business expansion and availability outside of normal business hours, weekends and holidays other duties include:
  • Negotiate and draft commercial agreements and leases. 
  • Ensure legal and compliance objectives are met.
  • Research unique legal issues impacting the organization by identifying applicable statutes, judicial decisions, and codes.
  • Keep abreast of legal, regulatory, and legislative changes that may affect the organization and its affiliates.
  • Assist with necessary training on legal, regulatory, legislative, and risk management matters that directly impact the organization.   


  • Must be a Nevada licensed attorney or meet the requirements for admission to the Nevada Bar under Supreme Court Rule 49.10
  • 5+ years experience
  • Knowledge of sports and sports betting preferred 
  • Gaming industry experience is highly preferred
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills with solid work ethic
  • Must have superior attention to detail and be highly organized
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Strong foundation and understanding of legal documents, regulated industries, contracts and relevant legal terminology
  • Ability to handle long-term and/or complex legal projects with significant business impact
  • Must ensure high standards, show initiative, is proactive and professional
  • Excellent presentation/public speaking skills
