As a Business Intelligence Analyst based in Leeds, you’ll be a central cog in helping drive our retail colleagues to make good business decisions.

Your Role

You’ll support the Business Intelligence and Qlikview manager for Retail. You’ll ensure that data is cleansed and fit for purpose and support in the analysis of trading performance within the business. You’ll review large datasets (we are talking in the millions of rows) with an eye for detail in finding and resolving data accuracy issues. You’ll set up and maintain automated data processes and have a keen interest in supporting documentations. You’ll track and produce data relating to KPI’s and provide insight into any identifiable trends. You’ll gather requirements from key stakeholders in the business for any new reporting that may be required and ensuring success indicators are identified and delivered against expectations. You’ll streamline reporting and analytical methods and continually look at new ways to analyse, model and visualise data. You’ll have a voice in providing actionable recommendations from the concise visualised dashboards that you’ll produce. You’ll create and maintain all associated documentation for data sets and reports that are used within the team.


Skills needed.

You’ll have an analytical and highly numerate skill set and have experience in  Business Intelligence/managing data. You’ll need a real passion for Sport and an intellectual curiosity into what drives top line performance. You’ll need to take a ‘roll the sleeves’ up approach with the data to investigate granular issues and resolve them as efficiently as possible. In an ideal world you’ll have experience with Qlikview but it’s not essential. Experience in using analytical technologies to consolidate multiple data sets, summarise findings and present your recommendations is key. SQL experience in dealing with large multi table databases including creating views and stored procedures is needed. William Hill are continually evolving in processes and controls so we welcome any process improvement enthusiasts that want to get involved in making BAU as easy as possible. Your career won’t stand still because we’ll give you the chance to learn new things and stretch yourself.
