Job description

Here at William Hill – we’re already a globally recognised gambling brand  – but our ambitions are higher!

Love Sport? Love Gaming? Do you want to be part of the team that create award-winning work featuring Neil Diamond’s Sweet Caroline? If the answer is yes, then we want to talk to you!

We have a passion for building global sports and gaming brands through insight and investment. William Hill is recognisable, well known and well loved - and now as our business grows and evolves (globally and here in the UK) we have more and more opportunities to do things differently and build brands that customers know and love.

It’s a great time to join us as a Brand Manager on our biggest brand – William Hill. We're looking for someone who will approach brand management with a strategic eye and a curious attitude - developing creative and fresh ideas, then managing the ongoing execution to help build a stronger brand. You'll find huge investment in brand here, and if you're genuinely a fan of the sports and games that our customers enjoy, you'll be passionate about what we do every day.

You’ll be part of our Global Brand Centre of Excellence (BCoE) and report into the Senior Brand Manager. The BCoE is made up of 3 teams - Brand, Insight and our in-house Creative & Production team who work seamlessly together across the Global brand portfolio and Corporate brand.

Your role in the team

We need you to bring the brand to life and be a brand champion internally and externally. You will work with lots of different teams to create and deliver brand strategies that drive awareness across UK and international markets, driving brand coherency and strengthening brand equity. Although William Hill is the focus for this role, you will also get chance to work across our portfolio of brands.

You'll build a network of collaborative relationships across the business, keep a close eye on our brand roadmaps and deadlines, contribute to creative outputs, and always ensure we stick within brand guidelines. Awareness of competitor activity will inform your thinking and our brand decisions.

Skills needed

To thrive in this role, you will have previously held a role with experience in developing and delivering brand strategies. Experience from an agency or leading customer focused brand would be ideal. You don't need experience from our industry, but a passion for sport and some knowledge of betting and or gaming is essential.

You'll take on the role of brand guardian - responsible for ensuring brand coherency across different markets, so we're looking for a good understanding of brand guidelines and tone of voice.

Great stakeholder management skills are a must. You’ll be super organised and have great attention to detail, with strong communication and time management skills. You'll be a team player with a positive, can-do attitude and the ability to adapt and respond quickly to changes.

If you're ambitious and looking for the opportunity to further your career in brand, this is a great place to be!

About us

Our people are at the heart of everything we do and we offer a fast-paced environment where we have fun, celebrate success and give you all the tools you’ll need to be your best self. It’s not just our colleagues we look after – we’ve got a responsibility to our customers too and we work hard on our William Hill Protect + Play initiative, with responsible gambling at the heart of everything we do.

What we offer

We take the safety and wellbeing of our employees seriously, especially at this challenging time. We have put in place robust Covid19 measures and are supporting our new employees with a smooth remote onboarding and training programme to make you feel welcome and part of our team.

We have welcomed our teams back to the office and have a balanced approach to office and home working, whether that’s London or Leeds.  Our employees have the opportunity to work from home up to 80% of the time with 20% of office time built in to ensure we get some face-to-face collaborative team time - and the chance for a coffee and a catch up!

Our flexible benefits package includes a competitive pension and bonus and a range of lifestyle benefits plus a heavily discounted zone 1-6 Oyster card if you join us in London. In addition to the standard 25 days holiday, you'll get an extra day off for your birthday. If you're looking for long term career development, our global, customer focused business is the ideal place to establish yourself and make an impact.
