The Cash Management Analyst is responsible for the accurate and timely execution of daily cash and payment operations within the Cash &Settlement function. The role covers client and PSP reconciliations, bank reconciliations, customer payment processing, and cash journal postings. The analyst ensures all transactions are recorded correctly in the ERP and that control procedures are followed, providing the operational backbone for Cash Management close activities.
The role sits within the Finance Operations function and is a key control over the completeness and accuracy of all gaming transaction data flowing through the organization's financial systems.
What you will be doing:
- Operational Reconciliation
· Bank/PSP Reconciliation:
- Perform daily, weekly, and month-end reconciliations between operational platforms, payment service providers (PSPs), banking systems, and ERP systems using approved reconciliation tools.
- Extract, validate, and upload transaction data to reconciliation platforms and record customer payment transactions accurately in the ERP system.
· Balance Check/Monitoring — OpenBet, PSP, Accurate
- Execute daily balance monitoring for gaming platforms and PSP accounts, escalating variances to the Senior Analyst. Monitor operational balances and transaction integrity to identify unusual movements, settlement discrepancies, or potential control issues.
· OpenBet Transaction Management
- Investigate unmatched transactions, reconciliation breaks, and balance variances, determining root causes and coordinating timely resolution with relevant stakeholders.
- Process OpenBet transaction management tasks in line with documented procedures.
- Manage unknown or unallocated transactions through investigation, categorization, and coordination with Accounting, Operations, IT, Compliance, or external partners as required.
- Bank and Customer Related Tasks
· Bank Reconciliation
- Perform daily or monthly bank reconciliations of bank accounts to ensure all transactions are captured and matched.
· Customer Payments
- Process and control outbound customer-related payments such as bank manual payouts, PSP invoices, fund transfers/sweeps, top-up funding, deposit refunds and manual payout approvals (Envoy/NTS).
· Account Reconciliation
- Classify reconciliation exceptions and ensure appropriate documentation, escalation, and follow-up in accordance with established procedures.
- Reconcile and analyse various ledger accounts and investigate any variances.
- Monitor aging of outstanding reconciliation items and ensure timely clearance in line with service level agreements
· Customer Related Tasks: Perform Order-to-Cash (OTC) activities, including the preparation of invoices, issuance of Statements of Account (SOA), processing of invoice settlements, and resolution of customer billing-related queries and exceptions.
- Support, Compliance and Reporting
· Audit Support: Support audit and regulatory engagements. Maintain complete reconciliation evidence, audit trails, and supporting documentation to satisfy internal and external audit requirements.
· Month End Close: Support period-end close activities by providing reconciliation certifications, accounting support, and financial control documentation.
· Controls & Documentation
- Maintain audit-quality working papers for all journal entries and reconciliations.
- Participate in process reviews, control assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reconciliation efficiency and strengthen financial controls.
- Adhere to SOD controls; follow the maker-checker process for all ERP postings.
- Escalate complex or non-standard revenue transactions to the Revenue Senior Analyst.
· Reporting: Prepare reconciliation, exception, and management reports while identifying trends, recurring issues, and process improvement opportunities.
· Helpdesk / Query Resolution: Respond to helpdesk queries from internal stakeholders related to Cash & Settlement process; escalate complex items to the Senior Analyst.
- Stakeholder management
· Serve as the first point of contact for routine queries from internal teams.
· Provide updates on the status of journals, reconciliations, and outstanding issues.
· Escalate complex accounting issues, policy questions, or unresolved items to the Senior Analyst.
Who we are looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a transaction reconciliation, finance operations, or payments role preferably within a Shared Service Centre or Finance department.
- Hands-on experience with a reconciliation platform or automated matching tool.
- Working knowledge of payment processing concepts — settlements, chargebacks, reversals, PSP reporting.
- Knowledge in Microsoft Excel for data manipulation (VLOOKUP/INDEX-MATCH, pivot tables, data validation).
- Experience in the online gaming, gambling, or digital payments industry preferred.
- Familiarity with OpenBet or a similar gaming back-office platform.
- Exposure to Oracle ERP general ledger enquiry and subledger reports
