We're building the next generation Cloud platform, focusing on reusability, reliability, and automation. We're  leveraging best in class cloud native capabilities, to allow for the rapid deployment of our next generation Sports betting Platform. The technologies include Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, Istio, and AWS native services.

The team you will join will build out next generation cloud platform that focuses on re-usability, reliability, and automation by leveraging standard best in class cloud native capabilities to allow for the rapid deployment of the next generation Sports betting Platform into new markets. 

Your role within the team

  • Working in an agile team, you will deliver high-quality, customer-focused, technical solutions to exceed the customer's expectations. You will be active in all phases of the development life-cycle, including:
  • Driving our expansion into Amazon Web Services through effective DevOps principles, clean Terraform code, Docker/Kubernetes orchestration and automation
  • All aspects of workload migration into AWS along with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
  • Working within an agile engineering squad to further advance our operational capabilities and improve our cycle time for feature delivery
  • Engaging and directing any ‘Proof of Concept’ or prototyping of solutions to continually move us forward
  • Ensure that security, operational and supportability guidelines are factored into the construction of any solution - this will include liaison with the relevant teams to ensure that they understand the implications of any proposed designs
  • Be active in our communities of practice across engineering and development to continually enhance our collective knowledge
  • Be passionate about quality metrics in product implementation.
  • Be a self-starter and work with minimal supervision. 
  • Mentor junior engineers in the team

What you'll need

  • Excellent knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Excellent background in Infrastructure as code including management and testing infrastructure deployments
  • Experience in creating reusable cloud architecture and composable terraform modules
  • Experience with Docker containers and Kubernetes running production workloads.
  • Experiance with Istio service mesh is desirable.
  • Experience architecting end to end cloud services for high performance API based applications.
  • Hands on programming skills with Infrastructure as code in Terraform.
  • Familiarity developing distributed services deployed on local, on premise and cloud-based platforms.
  • An excellent working knowledge of configuration management, provisioning and orchestration tools.
  • Monitoring / Logging with Prometheus, Grafana, experience with monitoring tools like New Relic. 
  • Excellent in networking fundamentals, firewalls, load balancers, and across AWS account communication.
  • Experience of working in an Agile development environment
  • Loves to share and collaborate with other team members.
