Your role in the team

You will lead the Devops Community of Practice to ensure all engineers are engaged in the devops culture. Leading the delivery of the key components alongside the software development teams: Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD), Continuous Development, Testing and Monitoring. Delivering results in all of these areas to address bottlenecks. Define and promote code standardization and automation processes for the organization to help us scale out our new US platform with increasing speed. Infrastructure as Code. Be a key player in the wider US Devops community, to help build and deploy our latest US Sports Betting platform technology. Deploying to public cloud (AWS) and to physical data centres as part of our “cloud first” deployment strategy but considering we have to have key services physically hosted in state. Ownership of the devops backlog of work, prioritising deliverables based on quarterly objectives set by the Product Lead and General Manager.

William Hill in Leeds

Right in the middle of the creative heart of the UK sit both of our Leeds offices. Leeds itself is a buzzy, busy place to work and live. A hub for tech, digital and gaming companies – there’s also five universities right on our doorstep. And away from work, we’re in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales and of course have got a competitive sports scene with Leeds United and Yorkshire Cricket and Rugby just up the road in Headingly.
