Job description

You will be

·         Doing monthly reports - production of accurate and insightful monthly reports, establishing a clear reporting format with actionable insights for the Site Director and Finance Director, Global Technology

·         Managing local tax returns and payroll, both of which are outsourced to a local accountancy firm

·         Budgeting and forecasting, ensuring that the site stays within budget, and that all forecasts are accurate and comprehensive

·         Short-term cash flow forecasting and maintenance of the local banking facilities, such that the site always has sufficient resources to service its outgoings

·         Implementing and maintaining clear financial controls including segregation of duties

·         Understanding of Global Tech projects being run from the site and an understanding of how these drive staff costs and other costs in the business

·         Managing the relationship with the outsourced accountancy services company, ensuring that they produce accurate and timely deliverables, and recommend opportunities to improve the service

·         Doing ad-hoc research and analysis of the Krakow management team and Finance Director, Global Technology

·         Pro-actively looking for efficiency or cost-saving opportunities and make clear recommendation that add value

·         Managing local suppliers, and ensuring all payments are appropriate and in line with the supplier’s contractual requirements

·         Supporting the headcount tracking and forecasting for the site, including understanding lead times to recruit, and attrition rates

·         Having a clear understanding of the key financial and non-financials drivers in Technology (including team utilisation, time recording, project accounting etc)

·         Working closely with the wider Global Tech Finance team and William Hill Group Finance team, supporting them with clear and accurate information on benefits to be delivered, and underpinning any challenges throughout the year against forecast or budget





We expect you to have

·         A strong, well rounded commercial finance person

·         Strong commercial finance skills, including experience of scenario modelling, originating financial analysis, and producing clear, actionable recommendations

·         Solid experience of financial reporting, with a track record of innovating and evolving reports to maximise impact and clarity of information for users of the reports

·         Previous experience in a role of Finance Business Partner, Finance Controller, Finance Manager or similar

·         JDE / Insights skills beneficial

·         Experience of working in an IT environment would be beneficial

·         Excel skills to a high level (including pivots, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, and building financial models)

·         Qualified accountant, with significant post-qualification experience

·         Excellent written English

·         Confident presenting to senior stakeholders
