In this role you'll be working on the betslip amongst other core sportsbook projects from our sunny offices in Gibraltar.

Your role in the team

  • Ship quality software frequently to production and into our customers hands
  • Write unit, integration and end-to-end tests as needed
  • Investigate, reproduce and resolve defects
  • Work to & feed into development standards & best practices
  • Setup & maintenance of development environment(s)
  • Refactor code where there’s benefit in doing so
  • Review code and provide constructive feedback
  • Ensure non-functional requirements are met by deliverables
  • Take responsibility for the product and your contributions to it
  • Collaborate with QA to ensure tests are aligned with the solution and complement tests written by development
  • Adhere to application architecture, or define with architects and senior developers

Skills needed

  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript (2-3 years production experience) and competency with or willing to learn TypeScript, React, Redux, RxJS. Webpack and Node
  • Experience in automated software testing through unit/functional/integration test suites for example Jest, React Testing Library and Cypress
  • Production experience with REST APIs both creating and consuming
  • Solid understanding of version control specifically Git.

Desirable skills

  • Familiarity with the common CSS techniques and knowledge of CSS preprocessors for example BEM, SASS, CSS in JS
  • Experience in build/deploy automation through common DevOps tools and technologies for example Docker, Jenkins, Gitlab CI and AWS
  • Push technologies like websockets and SSE
  • Experience in / knowledge of Agile delivery principles and practices such as Scrum or Kanban - can be taught don’t worry!
  • Familiarity with producing production grade websites for all devices, multiple jurisdictions and locales
