Your role in the team

•    Supporting the Site Reliability Team with expert knowledge of large scale Web and Node.js experience
•    Observing our highly scalable, high load web applications running containerised Node.js applications in production, measuring every aspect of its performance, availability, latency, efficiency to spot hot spots and possible future issues
•    Assisting with change management, capacity planning and emergency response as an expert of the runtime environment and application behaviour
•    Giving input and contributing to monitoring requirements and implementation


Skills needed

•    3+ years of full stack development experience, strong interest in problem solving, strong analytical skills
•    Web development: Browsers’ rendering pipeline, browser performance, React, Redux
•    Node.js: Understand event loop, garbage collection, memory usage, security
•    Basic Network knowledge: TCP, HTTP, HTTPS, HTTP2
•    Distributed computing: Load balancing, Caching, CAP theorem
•    Experience with managing high load performance applications: monitoring on all layers from CPU to application metrics
•    Nice to have: experience with Splunk, CA APM
