Have you got a legal background and looking for your next career move? evoke have an exciting opportunity for the right person to join their legal counsel team. You'll get to work primarily on the corporate legal side of business but also have the potential to work on the commercial legal side of the business, building meaningful relationships with stakeholders. This varied and fast paced role will involve identifying risks and implementing solutions whilst providing legal advice. What you will be doing 

On the Corporate side:
  • Drafting and negotiating NDA's   and assisting with the execution of transactions such as joint ventures, acquisitions, disposals and intragroup reorganisations 
  • Assisting with the preparation of board memos setting out key matters and risks associated with the transactions 
  • Working closely with related Group functions across multiple territories including the Corporate Development, Finance, People, Data Protection, Compliance, Company Secretarial and Tax teams
  • Managing external counsel where appropriate 

On the commercial side:
  • Drafting wide variety of commercial contracts. This includes agreements for the supply of services and/or goods, sponsorship, marketing, filming production, media buying, IT, data and content supply and other partnership agreements
  • Drafting, reviewing and updating customer facing terms and conditions across the Group's consumer facing websites and apps 
  • Working with the Marketing Compliance team to ensure compliance with ASA guidance and codes, including reviewing and advising on marketing promotions and advertisements, scripts and legal lines 
  • Providing legal advice in respect of consumer and data protection regulation to relevant stakeholders and working with the Privacy and Compliance teams 

  
 Who we are looking for 
 
Someone with:
  • Private practice post qualification experience with proven M&A (including cross-border transactions) experience and ideally commercial experience    
  • A collaborative team player who enjoys a challenge 
  • A flexible approach and willing to take on a varied workload with excellent attention to detail 
  • A commercial approach, understanding the impact of legal issues or solutions on the operational activities of the business
