The People Partner is a key role within the business partnering function of the People team supporting our teams in the Customer and Operations area. This function shapes the organisation by creating and delivering the people agenda.

 

You'll work collaboratively with local HR leads who are the experts in local legislation, ER, HR systems and employee experience within each of the CCOO locations.

 

You'll also be working as part of the wider People team, so you will be working closely with your colleagues who are responsible for organisation wide initiatives. Your team members will inspire you and also support you with your business unit specific agenda.

 

What you will be doing

 

• Building trusted relationships with key stakeholders in the business areas they support and the wider People team whilst understanding the business plans and goals to be able to provide commercial advice and support on all People Operational Issues

• Leading on key CCOO People projects and change initiatives and designing and delivering People solutions in collaboration with COEs.

• Embedding a Performance Management culture that supports and delivers our Business and People objectives

• Identifying priorities from organisational and functional plans, translating business requirements into effective practices and delivering people solutions aligned to business objectives with the colleague experience at the core

• Supporting the development of robust talent pipelines and managing recruitment needs with leadership teams, working with talent acquisition partners to deliver an effective workforce plan

• Supporting the business areas you work with to drive colleague engagement whilst reviewing and analysing key People management information to identify opportunities,

• Providing expert advice and guidance to managers on escalated HR matters, supporting managers in dealing with complex employee relations issues in conjunction with the GO2 ER Team

 

Who we are looking for

 

• You'll have broad generalist/HRBP experience gained in a fast paced environment, in a large complex organisation and available to start this position within the next 4-6 weeks 

• Ability to communicate effectively and have the credibility and gravitas to build strong working relationships with key stakeholders

• Experience of coaching and influencing leaders with the ability to adapt and work effectively with a variety of situations, individuals and groups

• Strong decision making capability, comfortable with autonomy with ability to demonstrate commercial thinking

• Solution focused and customer centric mindset  with the ability to challenge and build processes, and is comfortable working in the 'grey'  able to manage multiple priorities

  • CIPD qualified (desirable only) with good working knowledge of employment law, up to date with emerging trends and best practice is a benefit
