Job description

You’re at the top of your game. Help us raise ours.

When it comes to the procurement of our online and retail games and sporting event feeds and data, there’s far more than just the bottom line to consider. In our competitive online world, it’s all about quality of experience. With serious buying power comes the opportunity to turn good into great – and that’s where you could make your mark as our new Head of Category for Gaming and Content.

Your role in the team

Change is afoot in our Procurement function, and we’re expanding to meet the needs of a growing business. Online is really gathering pace, and we’re making great strides into new international markets. Working directly for our CPO, you’ll be able to put your stamp on our relationships with key suppliers and look for ways to add real value.  As you’re well aware, there is so much more to do than save money – you’ll be in a position to introduce new ways of working, and to engage leaders in defining the best approach to quality procurement.

Of course all this is done through building good relationships. As a senior procurement professional, you’ll be an effective business partner and a skilful negotiator. We work at pace, we’re customer focused, and we have high expectations.  You can expect autonomy in a high profile role which will let you push the boundaries.  This is very much a hand- on role executing category strategies, sourcing, negotiation and contracting.  There’s scope for international travel too.

Skills needed

This role is ideal for a Category Manager looking to make a step up in terms of responsibility, remit and overall profile. As well as extensive category management experience, you’ll bring us a proactive, tenacious approach and the desire to work with colleagues and suppliers to do the right thing.

We do not need direct category experience, but great category management skills are essential.  It would be ideal if you’ve had some exposure to our industry before, or at least have an interest in sport and gaming. We recognise that excellent procurement skills can be gained in lots of industries though, so we’d like to hear about your achievements and what makes you stand out.
