As we grow our business, compliance and licencing requirements remain at the forefront of our operations. Reporting to the Director of Regulatory Compliance and working closely with the UK and Gibraltar Compliance team and other business leads, your role will make the most of your understanding of industry-wide compliance coupled with operational processes and procedures.

About us

We make a huge investment in everyone, offering great career development opportunities. Our people are at the heart of everything we do, and we thrive in a fast-paced environment where we have fun, celebrate success and give you all the tools you’ll need to be your best self. It’s not just our colleagues we look after – we’ve got a responsibility to our customers too and we work hard on our ambition to promote safer gambling.

Your role within the team

We’ll look to you for assurance that we do things in the right waythat we’re compliant with gambling licence conditions and guidance, for example, remote gambling and software technical standards. Under your leadership, identified changes in regulatory requirements will be suitably implemented by the business – raising compliance standards through deployment of appropriate checks and balances, escalation of issues and thorough recommendations for improvement.

You’ll manage the compliance change process including documentation, sign off and communication. There will be opportunities for us to learn and do things differently, so your expertise will allow you to engage and coach your team to deliver expert advice to the business in the right way, at the right time.  As well as focusing on internal improvements, you’ll own accurate and efficient reporting and responses to external parties, supporting our position on cases, and providing the information they need.

There are various channels you can use to spread the compliance message internally, so you and your team can make the most of Yammer, our intranet and regular meetings with key business stakeholders.

You’ll take ownership of the business’ PML structure, ensuring appropriate support is provided to applicants. Above all, you’ll be a visible role model for our company values and compliance focus, both within the business and to third parties across the industry.

What we are looking for

We’re interested in your knowledge and experience of all UK gambling policies, procedures and processes, and your ability to apply a strategic perspective to making improvements It would be great to see experience from a number of organisations, as a broad and open minded approach would suit this role well.

You’ll need to manage direct reports and stakeholders effectively and with an engaging style. We work remotely and flexible across our locations, so experience managing technical standards would be a benefit. You’ll need to have confident communication skills, particularly the ability to translate external compliance requirements to an internal, operational audience.
