The Role

The Head of Football will be at the forefront of leading a team to maximise performance and Trading margin for Football products across all channels. You will report directly into the Sports Trading Director and oversee the day-to-day team responsibilities to deliver overall business success.

We are looking for exceptional leader, who is proactive and will help drive forward our ambition for growth.  You must have strategic vision with a drive and passion to make a positive impact within the Football department.

  • Lead our team of traders across day-to-day organisation of resources, managing performance, developing people, and planning & executing oversight of trading schedules and team cadence
  • Act as a key voice of input for developing intelligent trading systems & processes, to ensure the strategy of turnover growth & profit maximization is achieved
  • Be a dedicated people leader focused on developing your team into excellent trading professionals, navigating performance management processes, and continuously identifying opportunities to coach, develop, and retain talent
  • Manage the team, recruiting, and performance management tasks, as well as providing skilled coverage of trading duties during pinch points
  • Consult with senior management, tech teams, and the trading teams to develop models, systems, and strategies to enhance the product & customer experience
  • Liaise extensively with global counterparts to ensure all events are covered effectively
  • Work with Risk Management and Quant to analyse and develop the trading framework for different markets and event profiles
  • Assist the Quant and Data Science teams in their work helping to continually improve our KPIs
  • Coordinate with the internal Sportsbook team on Strategy, Marketing, Promotional and Operational issues
  • Work alongside the broader Sportsbook team and other key stakeholders to ensure accurate customer management.

  • Effective decision making, able to make quick & sound trading judgements under pressure
  • Extremely capable of motivating & inspiring others to take performance to the next level, especially within tight deadlines under pressure
  • Innovative & proactive approach to driving specific products forward, with the ability to continuously adapt to the constantly evolving landscape of the industry
  • Keen knowledge of what it takes to execute operational excellence and how to build and improve the process required to get there
  • Outstanding communicator who can influence, coach & develop talent from diverse backgrounds
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
