We need a Indirect Tax Assistant Manager to join the team to help manage our UK and international indirect tax issues.  In this role you’ll work alongside the Group Indirect Tax Manager and also across many parts of the wider group. Your Role in the Team


You’ll be responsible for preparing and filing quarterly UK VAT returns and assisting with calculations of VAT payments. You’ll prepare UK Partial exemption method, annual adjustment and capital goods scheme adjustment and support the Indirect Tax Manager with any queries directed by the HMRC. You’ll continually keep up to speed with the market and communicate legislative changes occurring that may impact William Hill and manage the change process from that. You’ll prepare and file quarterly gaming tax returns and work with the Indirect Tax Manager on the preparation of overseas VAT/GST returns as well. You’ll have the opportunity to act as an advisor to overseas offices and third party advisors on any queries they may have.

You’ll will have experience in developing controls and processes to manage the groups indirect tax compliance timetable to ensure all details are captured accordingly. William Hill are continually evolving in processes and controls so we welcome any process improvement enthusiasts that want to get involved in making BAU as easy as possible. You’ll have the opportunity to support on ad-hoc projects and deliver training to key business areas as an added bonus to the role.


Skills needed.


You’ll need to be ACCA, CIMA or AAT qualified or part qualified with some exposure to tax, or CTA or ATT qualified or part qualified.. Industry experience is a bonus but not essential.. As long as you have the drive and passion to get to grips with William Hill we can provide the rest.
