We have however grown into a global player in the gambling industry; using some of the world’s most cutting edge technology to deliver our customers the best experience possible.

We have new cloud based systems using the latest automation, containerisation and micro service tech - and we have older solutions that still work well for us. New HCI compute is being delivered alongside an external cloud scale out for our compute needs. Our private cloud continues to increase in size and our DC’s are being revamped. Automation and Agile at scale are our main targeted areas from improvement in 2018 – as gambling never stands still.

To ensure everything we have is ideally tuned, new solutions are of value and we reducing not creating tech debt we need an Infrastructure Engineer. You’ll have Architect level experience with hands on skills – someone who can walk and talk high end tech.

You’ll be comfortable challenging the Architects on their designs and working with them to ensure their solutions operate at the highest level. You’ll also contribute your own design and contributing your own designs and solutions for improvements and new initiatives is also a must.

Operationally you’ll be asked to assist on P1 incidents, playing the role of the knight in shining armour – bringing your high end technical expertise to bear.

You’ll ideally have the following experience:

o   Working knowledge of Network Architecture (WAN / LAN / Capacity Planning / Data Centre typologies), Database Technologies (MS SQL / Oracle) and Storage technologies (EMC / HP) including replication technologies.

o   Experience in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues (performance and security issues for example)

o   A thorough understanding of architectural design principles

o   Demonstrate understanding and pragmatic usage of architectural frameworks

As well as an interest or experience in Bookmaking, Retail, Gaming, Banking, Telecoms, desirable skills would include:

o   Hands on experience with DevOps frameworks and tools

o   Experience of infrastructure architecture or design experience working in a similar organisation.

o   Knowledge of security tools and products

o   Experience of a shared service organisation
