Your Role within the team

You’ll work towards overall improvement of standard and best practices and drive the community of practice. You’ll implement and document solutions in collaboration with the developers, solution architects and applications architects. You’ll translate technical and non-technical requirements to appropriate audiences and get involved in pre planning and planning sessions with the wider spread team. You’ll improve on code quality, defects, overall performance, security and resiliency. You’ll be responsible for contribution to the code base where you will review code and provide constructive feedback. You’ll partner with QA to ensure tests are aligned with the solution and complement the tests written by development. You’ll collaborate in setting up CI and release pipeline for all applications delivered. You’ll document delivered components, software design, API spec, maintenance and operational commands.

Skills Needed

You’ll have experience in development with Java (7,8) and technologies such as Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Akka, Active MQ, Kafka, Oracle, Riak, Casandra, Scala. You’ll have experience in DevOps activities, production and have been involved in delivering applications to a production system in an enterprise. You’ll have automated software testing through unit/functional/integration test suites and would be beneficial if you have experience in agile delivery principles and practices such as Scrum or Kanban.
