Job description
The UK Compliance team, part of the Risk and Intelligent Automation function, ensures compliance with regulations and customer outcomes. The Marketing Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring that all marketing communications and campaigns comply with applicable regulatory requirements, data protection obligations, and industry codes of practice. The role provides expert advice and oversight to the Marketing function, helping to embed a culture of compliance and responsible marketing across all channels and customer touchpoints.
What you will be doing
- Ensure all marketing communications and campaigns comply with relevant regulatory requirements, including gambling, advertising, consumer protection, and data protection regulations
- Review and advise on marketing campaigns and materials, providing clear, practical guidance to ensure compliance
- Collaborate with key stakeholders (e.g., Data Protection Office, Legal, Safer Gambling, Customer Experience, Commercial) to ensure marketing activity aligns with GDPR and wider compliance requirements
- Develop, deliver, and coach others on best practice and regulatory requirements related to marketing and promotional activity
- Create, maintain, and update policies, procedures, and guidance to support compliant marketing practices
- Establish and manage processes to monitor compliance across marketing campaigns, ensuring timely identification, escalation, and management of issues
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with marketing activity, ensuring relevant stakeholders are informed and engaged
- Stay up to date with regulatory developments, industry guidance, and best practice, and prepare regular reporting and insights for senior stakeholders on compliance performance, risks, and trends
Who we are looking for
- Extensive knowledge of UK gambling regulatory requirements and marketing standards (LCCP, CAP Code, ASA guidelines), supported by exceptional attention to detail and analytical ability
- Excellent communication skills with sound judgement, along with effective interpersonal and stakeholder management skills to build productive relationships across the organisation
- Demonstrated commercial awareness, understanding of business priorities, and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience in the betting and gaming industry and/or relevant compliance or risk qualifications is desirable but not essential (e.g., ICA Certification or equivalent).
