Job description

As the Media Planner you will be responsible for developing and implementing media plans across broadcast, digital, print, radio, experiential, retail, and sponsorships, as well as working with the William Hill marketing team and with dedicated media buying agency resources. The position involves ensuring our media plan is fully integrated with all other efforts across the Company’s portfolio, as well as responsibility for elements of the marketing budget. 

What You Will Do: 
  • Create strategic media and marketing plans that reflect an understanding of business objectives, consumer behaviors and William Hill’s marketing assets
  • Manage and collaborate with agency resources to deliver cohesive business solutions, strategies and execution across multiple states
  • Manage and implement approved media plan ensuring all deadlines are met across broadcast, digital, print, radio, experiential, retail, and sponsorship's.
  • Work with brand director and creative department to define specs and ensure timely delivery of all creative materials
  • Work with suppliers to approve creative materials and ensure all campaigns are fully compliant with supplier and regulator guidelines across different states
  • Access third-party resources (syndicated data, internal/external research) to uncover relevant insights that fuel plan development and provide comprehensive/compelling rationale for proposed plan structure
  • Build presentation materials, complete appropriate tracking spreadsheets and deliverables grids (specs/timelines), and enter data in relevant systems as required
  • Provide weekly reports to management on all active/pending campaigns 
  • Ensure team is adhering to planning and buying processes, policies and procedures
  • Identify and track issues and resolve/escalate as needed 

What You Will Need: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree 
  • 3 years of media planning experience from an agency or B2C organization, hands-on experience with TV, Radio, Print and OOH planning and execution 
  • Experience managing significant marketing budgets 
  • Extensive experience with media planning/buying systems & research tools, such as DoubleClick, Salesforce, comScore & Kantar 
  • Ability to manage agency resources on a daily basis 
  • Proven analytical skills and problem-solving ability paired with meticulous attention to detail 
  • Ability to communicate complex issues to a wide array of internal stakeholders
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment, consistently adhering to strict deadlines and evolving priorities 
  • A firm understanding of the metrics in offline media buying (ROI, CPA, etc…)
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills, especially Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint required
  • Have energy and enthusiasm for a new challenge, and an ability to tackle complex regulatory environment 
  • Eagerness to define how this is done for a new business in the US 
  • Excited about the opportunity to launch and grow a significant business in a new sector
