Due to the continued growth within the Performance team within William Hill and internal promotions, we are now in an exciting position where we are looking to add to the team with another Portfolio Analyst to support the different departments within the business

Your role within the team

The role of Portfolio Analyst is to support colleagues across Technology and Product with guidance primarily relating to governance, tooling, finance and resourcing. This role comes with many opportunities for development and is a great step for anyone looking to build a career in Agile Delivery, Continuous Improvement, or Analysis.

As a Portfolio Analyst in William Hill you will take ownership of certain aspects of the Technology portfolio. You will be responsible for:

  • Completing resource and cost forecasts for your respective area, with input from colleagues in other parts of the business
  • Producing analysis on financial and resource information to explain trends and inform decision making
  • Looking for ways to improve processes within the team and in other parts of the business
  • Working closely with Agile Coaches and Delivery Leads to support Product Teams with their ways of working and providing assistance with the adoption of tools to achieve this
  • Ensuring compliance with governance frameworks.
  • Working closely with our colleagues in Finance, particularly each quarter when providing the latest financial plans, but additionally with any improvement opportunities
  • Forging good and effective relationships with immediate stakeholders within the organisation
  • Providing ad-hoc analysis as required by stakeholders at all levels of the business

Skills and attributes that we’d like to see from you

  • At least intermediate level on Microsoft Excel
  • Have excellent communication skills and the ability to engage senior stakeholders
  • Ability to problem solve and look at ways to improve processes and really run with it
  • Have a desire to learn, develop and be in control of your own career path
  • Have the ability to work independently and be confident in your decision-making
