Your role in the team


Working as part of the William Hill US Product Development team and driving our exciting US business and technology expansion with potential future opportunities in the US you’ll own the customer’s experience for US Retail product development. Acting as a subject matter expert for our fans content experience for the Retail platform as we expand into the new exciting US market you’ll own the feature team’s roadmap and collaborate with the Product Lead to develop towards the vision for the Retail products across our digital platform.


Creating goals for your products, you’ll align and prioritize requirements and deliverables with the product roadmap in accordance with the customer’s needs, ROI and overall business goals. With a customer-first mindset, you’ll have a deep empathy for our customers, coupled with an approach to solving problems for them within our digital product landscape.


You’ll collaborate across all disciplines and work closely with UX designers and the engineers to develop feasible, viable and desirable solutions while incorporating fan feedback through multiple iterations of your products. Demonstrating a deep understanding of data, you will always be looking to better understand our fans and find opportunities to serve them through both qualitative and quantitative insights


Promoting agile ways of working by effectively leading and applying these practices in the teams, including backlog refinement, planning and retrospectives with support from the agile coach. You will document and organize requirements as themes, epics and user stories with detailed acceptance criteria and detailed mock-ups, user flows and prototypes provided by the designers. With some of the team being based in the US there may be ad hoc meetings outside of UK working hours, but you’ll have control over how you manage your time.


Skills Needed


Education & Experience:

Essential: Strong experience developing successful digital products across various platforms including web, apps and connected devices. Experience in / knowledge of Agile software product delivery and / or continuous improvement mindset. Experience creating and maintaining roadmaps and usage of Atlassian tools JIRA and Confluence. Track record of leading large-scale products from conception through to completion

Desirable:  A degree in a business of computing-related subject and experience within the digital publishing industry on consumer facing products is a plus.


You’ll be someone who enjoys working as part of a team, collaborating and problem solving with others with an aim to keep solutions as simple as possible.


Ideally, you’ll have worked in the digital bookmaking industry on consumer facing products or have a degree in a business of computing-related subject but this isn’t essential.
