Job description

As a Responsible Gambling Officer you‘ll make sure that we protect customers who have, or could be in the process of developing, gambling problems. We abide by regulations that change all the time, and responsible gambling is an increasingly important and significant concern for us.

If you join us, you’ll join a business area that is expanding and maturing. We’re looking for someone with a solid foundation and understanding of our industry’s social responsibility requirements. You’ll need to slot in and handle sensitive situations with confidence.

Reporting to the Compliance Team Manager, you’ll have detailed conversations by phone and email with customers who may have gambling related problems. Working closely with the customer due diligence team, you’ll assess customer profiles that we think may be at risk of developing these issues. Using data and reports, you’ll help us spot trends and limit potentially damaging behaviour.

You’ll deal with real people who have real problems. Your approach must be sensitive and human, at all times considering the person behind the bet. We’re constantly looking for ways to refine and improve our approach to social responsibility, so we’d welcome your proactive approach to suggesting and implementing changes. 

You already have experience from a customer facing role within the gambling/gaming industry.  With this, you bring solid understanding of social responsibility and problem gambler indicators.


You can form a good relationship with customers over the phone or via email, using honesty and empathy. With great problem solving skills, you can use your initiative to address concerns as and when they arise. Experience of assessing risks and regulatory concerns will help you see the bigger picture. Some understanding of data driven analytics would be an advantage too, but it’s not essential. What is vital is that you have a flexible approach to working hours to make sure the needs of our customers are met.
