Your role in the team

As a Data Architect, you will be the link between business, big data developers & data scientists. You will be able to interact with various stakeholders to understand their requirements and create an evolving solution architecture for our cloud-based Enterprise Data Platform in a consultative manner. There is a real emphasis on professional delivery as you will be working closely with stakeholders providing excellent delivery of service. Whilst working for a forward-thinking company, you are expected to have a real desire to learn and adapt to new technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • End to end Data architecture design
  • End to end design of Data Warehouse and Big Data solutions
  • Data model design including Data Vault, Dimensional and No-SQL techniques
  • Data Integration technologies and techniques like ETL, ELT, real-time data ingestion and API based integration
  • Support advanced analytics and AI/Machine Learning capabilities.
  • Provide technical and thought leadership, strategic thinking and architectural direction on data projects.
  • Define and communicate commercially aware architecture designs for data solutions in accordance with data design authority governance and standards
  • Work closely with the project teams and other stakeholders to meet the projects requirements aligned with architecture standards
  • Identifying operational and delivery risks
  • Provide governance on data architecture for the business domains under his/her responsibilities, data standards and target operating models for data activities
  • Collaborate with the Data Science & Engineering teams to share best practice for building data pipelines
  • Define and manage policies and programs for data stewardship and custodianship in concert with legal, information security, and corporate risk and compliance offices

Skills needed

  • Experience with Relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including document or, graph databases. Experience with Snowflake, Redshift, Google Big Query, SQL Server a plus.
  • Experience with Data Modelling methodologies and techniques. Both Data Vault and Dimensional is a big plus.
  • Experience with Data Modelling tools and automation frameworks. Erwin or Wherescape is a plus.
  • Experience with Master Data Management tools or frameworks.
  • Experience with cloud services like AWS and Azure.
  • Experience with object-oriented/object function Scripting languages: Python, Java, Go, C++.
  • Experience with big data tools: Spark, Kafka.
