Job description
The Role

The Group FP&A function consolidates both historical financial information, as well as forward looking forecasting and budgeting, giving a great foundation into finance. The role will be predominantly P&L focused with exposure to capital expenditure and cash flow. Within the role, you will work closely with divisional teams to provide insightful financial analysis, forecasts, and budgetary information to help drive strategic decision making to achieve the financial objectives of the Company.

Responsibilities;

  • Preparation of weekly trading profit and trend reports for the senior leadership team and the board
  • On a monthly basis, responsible for the preparation of the Group Management Accounts with insight analysis on the group performance
  • Collect forecast inputs and BU / Function specific information to develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting and budgeting processes
  • Work autonomously to interrogate and produce reports from the Hubble finance system, as well as post journals in JDE, the accounting system currently used
  • Collaborate with divisional finance teams to understand performance / variances, to provide insight to FP&A team and the business
  • Willingness to challenge the status quo and drive improvements/recommendations to process & reports/analysis where appropriate.
  • Ability to challenge the status quo to help build efficiency and improvements to processes
  • Ensure appropriate continuous professional development
  • Ensure appropriate interpretation and implementation of required changes in a timely manner
  • Support all internal and external audit activities through the provision of required documentation when necessary

You will need:

  • Higher education degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Previous experience
  • CPA: 5+ year total years’ experience working in the field of accounting, finance, audit, financial analysis. Good to have but CPA not required for this role
  • Non-CPA: 7+ total years’ experience working in the field of accounting, finance, or audit.With atleast 3 years of experience in financial analysis or FP&A roles.
  • Proficiency in financial modelling, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent Excel and data manipulation skills.
  • Experience with financial software and ERP systems is desired.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to communicate well with internal stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team, managing multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to understand and align financial strategies with business objectives.
