Job description
We're looking for an experienced senior UX writer to give our products a human touch
and develop meaningful content that improves the usability of our platform for our
customers.
You'll have a high bar when it comes to content quality, yet also be able to work with
multiple stakeholders to meet deadlines. You'll be comfortable presenting
recommendations that will help to turn the complex ideas into simple, human
experiences so we can continue developing a best-in-class experience.
The work:
• Working to understand business goals and user needs, then help plan, develop and
deliver clear, relevant written content that brings the two together
• Working with senior stakeholders to help understand the value of writing, solving
problems, and developing our UX writing strategy
• Collaborating across the business with cross-functional teams to encourage user-
centric writing practices
• Owning William Hill’s Product Tone of Voice, leading the way we communicate with our
customers
• Establish the discipline, ways of working and help towards growing a team of UX writers
• Set the tone and raise the bar for writing and design at William Hill
What we’d love to see from you:
·A collaborative team player who takes initiative and responsibility for end-to-end
experience outcomes and deliverables
·Amazing interpersonal and technical skills to effectively communicate your UX
writing decisions and ideas using data
·Experience as a UX writer or content design manager with a deep understanding
of the benefits of great UX writing and the ability to clearly articulate those
benefits to stakeholders
·Examples of writing for world-class products, demonstrating an understanding of
how your work fits into a wider context, and of recognising and addressing
challenges
·Experience of working in partnership with senior stakeholders
·A data-informed mindset with experience working alongside research teams and
A/B testing tools.
How we’ll help you succeed:
Our experienced Product Design Leadership team will always have your back and help
guide you to bring your projects to life for our customers.
Our User Research team will help you get more insights from customers and our
Analytics team will give you insights on live projects.
We’ll also offer you a training and development budget to help you keep improving in
your role.
What we offer
Our benefits package is competitive and offers a wide range of options. As well as the
standard 25 days holiday, you'll get an extra day off for your birthday. And if you're
looking for long-term career development, our global business is the ideal place to
establish yourself and make an impact.
After your successful probation period we’ll give you £300 towards books or any other
training of your choice to help you develop and refine your skills.
We offer a balanced approach to office and home working – now and for the long-term
future. So our employees can work from home up to 80% of the time with 20% of office
time built in to ensure we get some face-to-face collaborative team time – and the
chance for a coffee and catch up!

You’ll have a case study that demonstrates your UX writing work and talents. Please
include a link with your CV – sorry we can't consider your application without this.
