Site Reliability Engineer

We are looking for Software Engineers who won’t accept doing the same thing day in and day out. This is no ordinary role, as you will learn and grow into a Site Reliability Engineer working hand-in-hand with other talented SRE's. You will be involved with understanding the intricacies of our betting services to develop, automate, monitor and maintain reliability of our product. You bet that failing, learning and continually evolving is the aim of the game.

Your role in the team

You'll develop and maintain our cloud infrastructure, eliminating toil by automating procedures and process. You'll  keep documentation up to date and in one place through the use of runbooks, and use key metrics (Performance, availability, latency, efficiency) to identify hot spots and predict risks. Partnering with DevOps, you'll automate and build great toolchains that makes Development & Operational teams happy and productive. Working closely with developers, you'll figure out the best software to use in production, and how to best deploy and maintain it

Skills needed:

We'd like you to be qualified to degree level or higher in a Computer Science oriented subject, or hold equivalent work experience. This will include proven experience as a developer in Python or other HLL plus a good understanding of cloud computing and distributed computing fundamentals (load balancing, caching, CAP theorem)

Your technical expertise includes:

  • Web development: Browsers’ rendering pipeline, browser performance, React, Redux
  • APM experience in either Datadog, New Relic, Splunk etc
  • Node.js: Understand event loop, GC/memory usage, security
  • Linux and common debugging Linux tools
  • Experience with managing high load performance applications: monitoring on all layers from CPU to application metrics

Optional skills:

  • It would be great if you're also familiar with V8(node.js/browser)
  • Experience with real-life systems on any of the major cloud providers (i.e. AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, Openstack)
  • CA APM
  • Java
