Job description

Location flexible - Leeds, London, Gibraltar, Krakow.

As Solution Architect, you will provide architecture consultancy across all our product teams, from the integration of new vendor solutions to in-house built solutions. In doing this, you will ensure alignment with our core architectural principles to ensure we continue to build a robust architecture that focuses on avoiding undue complexity and over-coupling and supports us in our goal of building sports betting and gaming platform that can operate at global scale.

About Us

Working with us, you'll be at the heart of the technological revolution of one of the world's most trusted betting and gaming companies. We deal with projects ranging from mobile Casinos to online Sportsbooks and everything in between. The cloud-native software you design will process 500 online bets per second, accommodate 20 million users, and process 160 terabytes a day. You can be sure there are many more challenges waiting for you.

Our people are at the heart of everything we do, and we offer a fast-paced environment where we have fun, celebrate success and give you all the tools you’ll need to be your best self. You will work collaboratively with the product owners, software engineering and SRE to build operationally robust and secure platform services and capabilities, with low cost of ongoing change, and high levels of automation in build and deploy.

You will be involved in the initial solution design for in-house developed applications, and in laying the groundwork for new projects while teams are formed and allocated. You may be pulled in to help correct the course of projects or help get them over the line on occasion. You will be proactive in identifying opportunities for and means of code reuse (whether that is functional code, infrastructure as code, or other pieces of code).

We believe in an open and collaborative working environment, and we want you to draw upon your experience to help establish this culture across our product teams, whilst ensuring we apply appropriate governance to our product engineering.

The ideal candidate has a recognised background in agile, product-centric technology development, customer centric functions as well as a good understanding of these capabilities and associated applications. This remains an evolving area for us and will require you to adapt and be creative as changing business demands continue to introduce new capabilities and applications.
