Job description

As a Team Leader you’ll be involved in all aspects of your colleagues’ journey with William Hill, working with your line manager to recruit great talent, onboard and train new colleagues, and ensure your teams’ performance is on track.

You’ll lead and motivate your shop team to deliver an excellent customer experience and be passionate about creating a positive and engaging working environment. 
This is a hands-on role, running day-to-day shop operations, serving and engaging with customers while maintaining brand standards. 


What you’ll be doing 

You will be responsible for promoting marketing initiatives and incentives to drive turnover across all products, working with your line manager to maximise shop margin by using reporting tools to track trends.
You’ll manage the rota for your shop working collaboratively with your team ensuring that it is staffed and open and closed in accordance with your shop opening hours.
You’ll manage your shop team, and be responsible for managing issues such as absence management, performance, setting shop team objectives, compliance and escalating more complex people issues to your line manager.
You will support new joiners with their induction, onboarding, probation and training. 
You will be required to monitor compliance in your shop and escalate any suspicious activity to your line manager.

You'll have a strong attention to detail and organisation skills, with a key focus on brand standards and compliance.
