Job description

This is a unique opportunity to join William Hill as we embark on an exciting new phase. Reporting to the Integration Director, this is a pivotal role at the centre of our plans to successfully bring together William Hill and 888, helping to plan and deliver a number of key strategic projects across the newly enlarged business. As part of a small team who oversee all integration activity, you'll take charge of a large, varied programme of work involving multiple business streams and Exec level stakeholders.

Your role in the team


You'll manage the weekly cadence of the Integration Management Office (IMO), supporting the successful delivery of the Integration programme‚Äôs objectives. This will involve providing  support to a group of business and corporate workstreams, working with senior leads simultaneously to plan, prioritise and successfully deliver their integration related objectives. You'll participate in and often lead various integration related meetings and workshops, both within IMO and with workstreams


We need you to prepare materials and outputs across a variety of integration related meetings, including SteerCo, following up with various stakeholders from around the group to ensure progress. You'll take ownership of producing and managing an Integrated programme plan including maintaining project plans, action logs, risk logs, and other tools to aid reporting on programme status, risks and issues.


Collaborating with workstreams Project Managers (inc. HR, Product & Tech, Ops) you'll  ensure key programme information is shared appropriately. You'll own coordination between stakeholders and teams and maintain  communication, governance, reporting and escalation models. We'll rely on you to create and execute project delivery work packages, achieving sign-off from senior colleagues when required.  You'll need to resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion, presenting options for solutions at all times. This role will allow you to expand your network across William Hill and 888, sharing lessons or best practice with other areas of the business.


Skills and experience


We'd ideally like you to demonstrate experience in programme and project management in a commercial environment including strong presentation skills and working knowledge of PM processes and tools. Your engaging style and great communication skills will allow you to coach effectively, ask the right questions, and facilitate conversations.


You'll need to bring the confidence and credibility to build and manage successful relationships with Executive/senior leader level stakeholder engagement, as well as the ability to adapt your style to suit various audiences. The ability to challenge in an appropriate and diplomatic way, and suggest solutions, is essential.


We'd like to see experience of supporting teams to produce business cases and project delivery plans, and proven ability to  handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast changing environment whilst managing multiple stakeholders. You just have the capability to focus and prioritise in order to execute effectively. A goal driven, entrepreneurial approach will suit this role well, and you must be comfortable working independently, and dealing with ambiguity.
