Your Role in the team

You’ll work inside an Agile team made up of developers, POs, Scrum masters and others whilst enjoying a true community of practice. You will co-operate with a team of designers to bring a technical view into the requirements and designs, so we can implement software at the highest level of quality and to create user friendly solutions.  As the UI Developer you’ll optimise application for maximum speed and scalability taking responsibility for the product and your contributions made. You’ll refactor code when necessary, review code and give constructive feedback. You’ll work and contribute to development standards and best practice. We encourage all our techies to pool their knowledge and learn from each other, so we regularly offer dedicated time to get together and share best practice. You’ll get involved in the recruitment of developers, contribute to the process and make recommendations on areas to improvement within this.

Skills needed

You’ll need to bring us solid commercial work experience in the fundamentals of CSS and HTML. It is essential to have working knowledge of Javascript, React framework and version control systems (Git). You’ll be confident with browser support and engines, browser performance, and be able to apply your code to a complex, high transactional website. Experience in Agile delivery principles such as Scrum or Kanban is highly desired.
