Responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance employee engagement. Oversees initiatives such as recognition programs, wellness activities, CSR efforts, and performance management to cultivate a positive workplace culture.
In partnership with the Global Internal Communications Business Team, this role supports the internal communications strategy for Manila - tailoring messaging to local audiences, promoting engagement, and ensuring key information is effectively communicated through appropriate channels. It also contributes to the exchange of updates and best practices across the global team, under the coordination of the Group Head of Internal Communications.
Additionally, supervises assigned team member(s) to ensure departmental goals are met and team productivity is maintained.
What you will be doing:
- Employee Engagement - Lead in the conceptualization and implementation of site-wide employee engagement activities including communications and promotions and post activity evaluation
- Drives participation in Employee Engagement and Pulse surveys.
- Responsible for ensuring measurement of the pulse of employees by conducting focus group discussions and regular touch point meetings with team leaders and teams
- Maintain ongoing pulse on employee morale and engagement, continuously driving measures for improvement
- Work with the people leaders to create and deliver action plans to improve colleague satisfaction.
- Delivery of bespoke activity to support employee attraction and retention.
- Provides guidance and support to people leaders in developing, planning and implementing team/department engagement activities and events to maintain a high level of employee involvement and engagement to drive high performing teams while ensuring that these are aligned with company strategy, organisational culture and protecting our brand
- Culture & Values Develop methods to track and realize effectiveness of investments in culture, employee experience, and engagement programs.
- Work in partnership with our people leaders to ensure our colleagues live by our values and act as ambassadors for our brand
- Guides Standard Bearers in Manila to drive Standard Bearers' initiatives
- Engagement Budget - Accountable for the utilisation of engagement budget, including, planning, tracking, and reporting
- People Management - Supervise the daily activities of direct reports and be accountable for their results. Sets priorities of the direct report(s) to ensure task completion; coordinates their work activities with other stakeholders or other member of the people team.
- Internal Communications - New Stories and Channel Management Support
- Gathering & reporting local news stories that are shared on appropriate channels (informally and formally) internal and external linking in with employer brand
- Compelling story telling in relation to strategy and our people’s role within
- Driving adoption of local comms channels e.g. Go2, Yammer, etc.
- Measurement and analytics of content by location or project using analytic tools and preparing relevant reporting
- Supporting local social media where appropriate with Employer Brand
- Managing local and relevant social network (ex: Yammer) and communication and collaboration platforms (ex: MS Teams, Slack)
- Supporting on presentation content including slide build
Local Specific Activity:
- Managing local print and display (including lock screens)
- Managing all aspects of ‘broadcast’ stand-ups and virtual meetings by location
- Managing all aspects of non-broadcast local stand-ups
- Supporting communication plans for location specific projects (i.e. office relocation, office refurbishing)
- Senior Leader visitor support (and storytelling/reporting as a result)
- Support of filming, editing review
- Other location or strategic support activity as required
- HR Business Partnering
- Work with local HRBP Lead and HR teams to support the local HRBP program
- HRBP to assigned teams in Manila
- Identify and deliver values centric and commercially aligned people strategies for the teams/departments that you support
- Promotes high quality end-to-end people experiences throughout the employee lifecycle by working with
- Talent acquisition for recruiting and on-boarding to ensure they have the right people at the right time
- Learning & development teams to review, create and improve training and leadership alignment activities necessary to ensure widespread and deep commitment to achieving maximum engagement and performance employee relations to provide people leaders the support and guidance in people policies and labour standards
What we are looking for
- Education
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or Organization Development, Management or equivalent
- Previous experience
- 7 years minimum experience in Human Resources with at least 3 years’ experience in a supervision/management role leading Employee Engagement and Internal Communications or equivalent role
- Computer skills – proficient in MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint
- Well versed in business etiquette and business correspondence
- Clear, concise, and grammatically correct in verbal and written communication in English
- Ability to convey information clearly and accurately
